Cookie baking in Ukraine...

Natasha found some Christmas cookie recipes but was a little afraid to try herself. Here is the picture documentation of our experience.
(We had a lot of fun!)

1st: We gather all the necessary supplies...

2nd: We read all through the directions to our Russian recipe...

3rd: We made the cookie dough...

4th: We rolled out the dough...Natasha and cut out our own shapes with knives...

5th: I made some awesome frosting...(thanks to my mom sending me some food coloring!)

6th: We spent a few hours creating our cookie masterpieces....

7th: Our final product....

8th: We gave them as gifts to the rest of the students...

9th: We ate them. They were almost too beautiful to eat.

Sushi birthday....

Dasha is an incredible gal.
She never ceases to amaze me.
She has the incredible way with kids, she possesses such patients, her desire to serve God is such a challenge to me.....I could go on for days...(She is THAT wonderful!)
Susanna and I wanted to something special for Dasha's birthday. We wanted her to know how much love and appreciate her. We decided to have a sushi party! Dasha was so thrilled with the idea of making sushi...

The Birthday Girl, Dasha!

Dasha creating sushi masterpieces...

Dare me to eat an entire school of Wasabi?

The sushi was a bit hit! It was fun for a few of them to eat with chop sticks for the first time...
