I am pretty sure we fell victim to an ultimate tourist trap-- of a restaurant. The waitresses were dressed head to toe in "traditional" Ukrainian garb. The decor was over the top... but totally wonderful...
There was a pair singing/playing traditional Ukrainian songs.
Inga eating---strawberry filled pancakes...
I am so excited about my Vareniki and my coffee, here!
Oleg eating a fancy ice cream treat!
We got a foggy view of the icy sea port!
It was a lovely night! Sadly I forgot my camera--these were pictures from my phone...stayed tuned for a full photo shoot.
Andre and Vatlik have been living in Shyriaieve as missionaries for the last 3 years. Andre studies at Odessa Theological Seminary during the week and travels back to Shyriaieve every weekend. We had the opportunity to take part in their service and talk with them about their work.

(Dave and I combined forces and made this killer snowman!)
I moved back to Odessa, Ukraine in May 2011 after spending a year and a half in Balta, Ukraine. While in Balta we saw God's mighty hands work in the church. We praise God for all that He has done and is continuing to do with His church!
